What is a Guardian Home?

You are just that, a guardian! If selected, you will be the home that our breeding dog resides in. He or she will grow up with you and become part of your family. Hanordoodles retains the breeding rights and when he or she becomes of age we will begin our breeding cycle. For a female, the dog only needs to come back to us for breeding and whelping, other than that she is your dog. The male dogs only need to come back to us for breeding. When our breeding cycle is over for the female (typically at 6 yrs old) she will be spayed and retire with you and your family. The males will be neutered typically around 8 years old.

What are the responsibilities of a Guardian Home?

1. Train the puppy appropriately just like you would any other household pet. (Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Kennel Training, Household Manners, Potty Training, etc.)
2. Maintain the puppy on NuVet Vitamin Supplementation ages 0-6yrs old. (Approx $20 /month)
3. Guardian Home is responsible for yearly vaccination visits at the vet and other needs that arise while in their care. Copies of completed visits must be sent to the Breeder.

What are the benefits of a Guardian Home?

1. Free boarding \ doggy daycare for the dog from 0-6 yrs old.
2. Unlimited supply of puppy cuddles when your pup has puppies!!
3. The spay\neuter at retirement age is covered by the Breeder.
4. At retirement the dog is already comfortable with you in your home ready to live out those golden years!
5. A second guardianship is almost guaranteed! ;)
